Our Commitment
Taggies, Inc. Corporate Social Responsibility
In addition to caring for children, Taggies, Inc. is committed
to treating all individuals involved with the manufacture and supply
of Taggies products with respect and dignity. We are dedicated
to the ethical manufacturing of our products and to protecting
the environment in the process. As part of our corporate social
responsibility, we believe these principles should be reflected
throughout our supply chain, and embraced by all Taggies, Inc.
suppliers. This was the motivation for creating the Taggies
Supplier Code of Conduct. Our suppliers are required to
have an officer or owner of the company sign an acknowledgement
that they agree to comply with our code and standards. New suppliers
are required to comply as a condition of doing business with Taggies,
Inc. We encourage all of our partners to share in our mission.
We strive to work with suppliers that are committed to our universal
principles of operating their business in a responsible and ethical
manner, respecting the rights of individuals, and helping to protect
the environment. Verification of compliance is subject to audits
by Taggies, Inc. or a third party designated by or otherwise acceptable
to Taggies, Inc. Failure to comply, or failure to work with Taggies,
Inc. or a third party to correct non-complying situations, are
grounds for cancellation of open orders, discontinued use of non-complying
production sites, or termination of our business relationship.
Contributing positively to communities, to children and to the
ethical manufacturing of our products is so important to us that
it’s a guiding principle of our mission
statement. Please link back We jointly fulfill this commitment
with partners and employees at all levels of the company. Adherence
to these values and standards by the people and companies we do
business with is a prerequisite for continuing or establishing
relationships with our company.
Our supplier expectations include the following:
- Adherence and compliance with any and all legal requirements
relevant to the conduct of their business. We seek vendors who
respect the legal, human and moral rights of their employees.
- We will not do business with any vendor who discriminates in
employment, including hiring, salary, benefits, advancement,
discipline, termination or retirement on the basis of gender,
race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality,
or social or ethnic origin.
- Employees of our suppliers must be over the applicable minimum
legal age requirement in the country of manufacture. We encourage
suppliers to support extended education.
- We will not be associated with any vendor who uses any form
of mental or physical coercion. We will not do business with
any vendor who utilizes forced labor whether in the form of prison
labor, bonded labor or otherwise.
- Vendors must treat employees with respect and dignity. No employee
shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal
harassment and/or abuse.
- Employers we work with shall provide a safe and healthy work
environment to prevent accident and injury to health.
- We will only do business with vendors who abide by minimum
wage, overtime and benefit requirements.
- We require our vendors to meet all applicable environmental
laws in their countries and to nurture a better environment at
their facilities and in the communities in which they operate.
We encourage our suppliers to reduce excess packaging and to
use recycled materials whenever possible.
- Taggies has a commitment to measuring, monitoring, reporting
and verifying the compliance to this code.
- We aim to engage our suppliers in the implementation of these
standards.
