TAGGIES™ WINS TWO TIMES OVER!
‘PARENT TO PARENT ADDING WISDOM AWARD’ DOUBLE
WINNER – AGAIN!
“Have
you ever noticed how babies are often more interested in the
tag on the blanket than the actual blanket? Two enterprising
moms did, and then created a product line that babies love.” – ePregnancy
Magazine
Acclaimed children’s product manufacturer Taggies,
Inc. has, for the second time, been named a double winner
in the prestigious Parent to Parent Adding Wisdom Award competition.
In 2004, the Spencer, Massachusetts company’s Little
Taggies and Pillow Taggies were
the first two baby products ever to receive this distinguished
award. Taggies was honored in the2005
Baby Products Parent To Parent Adding WisdomAward competition
for two infant products: “Wristies™” and “Taggies
Toes.”
The winning Taggies products are
portable and creative. Wristies arecheerful
wrist rattles with happy faces and funsounds. Soft
and sweet Bunny Taggies Toes represent the first
in a new line of Taggies baby booties, designed
to keep babies feeling toasty while they enjoy some Taggies time.Bothwinningitems
feature the Taggies “tags” that babies
and children love to rub.
"With most companies, there's products that are winners and
losers; however, I haven't found one loser with Taggies...have
any idea how incredible that is? That means that no matter
what item you choose to purchase, it will be a winner!" says Jodie
Lynn, internationally syndicated columnist of Parent
to Parent, CEO of www.AddingWisdomAward.com and
author of family/health book, “Mommy-CEO (revised edition).”
Created by Jodie Lynn, the Parentto Parent
Adding Wisdom Award honors products of outstanding quality
that support family values. Competition for the award is rigorous.
In order to fit the guidelines, a product or website must be
safe, fun, educational and family-friendly. The Adding
Wisdom Award committees are comprised of experts from
across the United States who are involved with children on a
daily basis. These committees look for products that entertain
and teach, inspiring imagination and creativity. Additionally,
the committees are interested in how products help children grow
ethically, socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically.
After the committees approve products, the items are then given
to Family Testers – real families – for testing and
evaluation before final decisions are reached.
Taggies came into being just over five years
ago when new mom and early-childhood educator Julie Dix observed
that her baby was more interested in the tags on toys and blankets
than the items themselves. She then teamed up with
fellow mom Danielle Ayotte to create colorful
fleece blankets edged all around with small, satiny tags. The
company’s patented product line has expanded in the past
five years to include infant booties, wrist rattles, plush toys,
travel toys, pillows, books (created with Scholastic, Inc.) and
several sizes of blankets, all brightly colored and adorned with
plenty of the small, smooth tags that soothe little ones like nothing
else.
Taggies products are sold at more than 4,000
independent specialty shops in the United States, Canada, England
and Ireland, and through more than a dozen catalogs, including
RedEnvelope and Lillian Vernon. “My First Taggies
Book: Sweet Dreams” and “My First Taggies Book: I Love
You” are sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Borders, Barnes & Noble
and other mass marketers. Taggies products may also be ordered
online at www.taggies.com and by phone at 1-877-4-TAGGIE.
